Behind the door there may be one space, or countless spaces we cannot know.
What is certain is that our heart and thoughts decide what lies beyond.
Consciousness shapes reality.
Whether the door opens onto a sky full of stars or onto flood and beast depends entirely on the emotion of this moment.
Perhaps settling for what is, or breaking free of it, both require struggle and courage.
Or perhaps what we need is not this door at all.
This square wall piece is carved from solid cherry wood. A small arched doorway is cut into the surface, with a miniature staircase rising toward it. The wood is deeply textured by knife and given an aged finish, so the little threshold feels both ancient and quietly alive.
